Data Deletion

Last updated: 5 September 2026

This page explains how to have personal information deleted from the AI Business Platform operated by 720DegreeIT.

Which situation applies to you?

You are a customer of a business that uses the Platform

For example, you booked a swimming lesson, signed a membership agreement or received an appointment reminder over WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger or Instagram.

That business decides what happens to your information. We hold it on their behalf as their operator under POPIA, and we cannot delete it without their instruction.

Contact the business directly. They are required to respond to your request. If you cannot reach them, or they do not respond, write to us at info@720degreeit.co.za with the business name and your mobile number, and we will pass the request on and follow up.

To stop receiving messages immediately, reply STOP to any message from that business. This takes effect at once and does not require anyone's approval.

You are a business that subscribes to the Platform

Email info@720degreeit.co.za from your registered address, or raise a request in the client portal. We will:

You used Facebook Login to sign in

Removing our app from your Facebook account does not by itself delete data held on the Platform. To have it deleted, email us as above. To remove the app's access, go to Facebook Settings, then Apps and Websites, and remove 720DegreeIT Platform.

What we delete

What we must keep

Some records cannot be deleted on request because South African law requires us, or our client, to retain them. In these cases we anonymise the personal information and keep only the record itself:

RecordRetentionWhy
Signed agreements5 years after the agreement endsEvidence in the event of a dispute; prescription periods
Debit order mandates and collection records5 yearsPayment system rules and dispute resolution
Invoices and financial records5 yearsCompanies Act; Tax Administration Act
Audit logs5 yearsSecurity and dispute investigation

Section 14 of POPIA permits retention where a law requires it or where the record is needed to protect a legitimate interest.

How long it takes

We respond within 30 days, as POPIA requires. Straightforward requests are usually completed within 5 business days.

If you are not satisfied

You may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
